The Big Three Deep Dark Questions of Life
It's been said that the Big Three Deep Dark Questions of Life are:
- Where did we come from?
- Why are we here?
- What happens when we die?
What we think and feel about these three questions governs every decision we make in life.

1) We were all living in the pre-existence, which was life in heaven with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We were each divine children of our Heavenly parents, but then our father in heaven presented a beautiful plan...all about earth and eternal salvation for man. Satan and Jesus Christ both offered to come to earth. But each one had a different idea for all of us. Satan wanted it to be a controled environment, where we all HAD to do the right thing, with no free agencey. However, Jesus Christ offered to send us to earth with free agency so we could have our own life and decide ourselves, (free agency). He came to to earth later on and died for each and every one of us. He knew each of our names and loved each of us personally, enough to die for each one of us individually. He was crucified and died for our sins. So I know this is more of an answer than you bargained for...but that is how we got here!! :]

I'm always confused about folks asking the first question. Seriously, what ramifications for my current decision making processes does the origin of the species/planet/universe/humanity have? Of the three, at a minimum, that's lowest on my list.
Of the third element, the most recent metaphor i've been exposed to that rings with a sense of the beauty of truth is that if reality is physical, and limited, and an afterlife is a transition to the non-physical and unlimited, that the only nature of humans which is non-physical and unlimited is the mind, and specifically memory. If we live on, it is in the memories of others, and I think it's possible (and congruent with a non-magical view of reality) we continue to exist exactly how we are remembered, cherished or resented, adored or ignored.
The middle question i've always liked better as "We're here. Now what are you going to DO about it" Answers? Who knows, but I think in the doing, often we find out where we were going and why we were going there in the first place.
Who knows.
:)
Happy First Post to me!
